The Texas Legends Major begins this coming Friday at the Texas Star Park in Euless just outside of Dallas. The women will play a dual tournament starting at 8 am central time Friday morning with 19 teams including 5 major teams. The men’s tournament begins at 4 pm central time and features 29 teams from 14 different states with 20 of the teams from the Conference USSSA! There are 2 Major teams, 6 ‘AA’ teams, 10 ‘A’ teams, and 11 ‘B’ teams. The favorites will be the two major teams Juno Athletics (NJ) and Roofx (IN) but the tournament is seeded based upon 2024 Conference USSSA points and that means Nitro Circus (MD-AA) will be the #1 seed. The Dudley Pro-M ball will be used with 8 to 16 home run limits depending on the class of teams playing. Unfortunately some dangerous storms are forecast for Friday and Saturday so everyone be safe. The fences at the main complex are 300 feet down the lines and go out to 310 in center field. The scores are traditionally high but will be dependent upon the wind. With 20 conference teams the men’s winner will receive 260 points, 2nd place – 220, 3rd-200, 4th-190, 5th-180, 7th-170, 9th-160, 13th-150, 17th-140. The livestream will be up at USSSALive.com and the USSSA Chat Room will be open from Friday through Sunday to discuss the tournament. The women’s fields and one of the men’s fields are located just down the street from the main park.
