The Battle on the Chesapeake Major returns to Glen Burnie, Maryland outside of Baltimore this coming weekend. The tournament features 16 teams from 10 different states, including 5 Conference teams led by the only Major team Juno Athletics / LSR (NJ-Major). Juno will be the favorite but has a legitimate challenger in Westpoint (IN-AA) . Also the ‘A’ teams Anarchy/Drawbridge/Selfmade (MI-A) and SAL-8/PHP/BAF (VA-A) and 4 ‘B’ teams will try to pull some upsets. The Bachman Complex has 300 foot home run fences that play short and I am hearing the Dudley Classic-M ball will be used. The tournament starts Friday evening and ends late Saturday night with very warm weather predicted. The women have a very nice field of 13 teams including 3 Major teams and 10 Conference teams including 5 ‘A’ teams. They begin Saturday morning and end Sunday.
