The 14th “Sin City” Classic Major kicks off the 19th season of the Conference USSSA league with 35 men’s teams and 20 women’s teams at the Big League Dreams park in Las Vegas, Nevada!  The tournament begins Friday, April 5th at 10:00 AM Pacific time.  All games on all 6 fields will be streamed on USSSALive.com.  The fields have artificial turf infields and each field is modeled after the look and feel of a major league baseball stadium.  Fenway is being used as the show field this year in the men’s division and Wrigley for the women’s.  The men’s features 8 Conference teams led by the ‘AA’ power Nitro/Beloli/Ataraxis/SBT/SOL/BAF/K from Maryland and 6 ‘A’ teams – Bay Area Legends (CA-A), Cheap Suits/Republic Realty/ESP (CA-A), DIRTY VEGAS.STEEL.KILLMANS.ARK FAB (TX-A), I-57 Roofing/Beechy’s/Royce Geo/SA (IL-A), LSR/BaughFord/TRU/LouisvilleSlugger (IN-A), NFMLending/KB/Chasse/BeHappy (AZ-A).  And they are joined by 27 regional ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ teams.  The men will play throughout the day on Friday and Saturday and finish up on Sunday with the final 4 teams.  The women start early Friday evening, finishing up on Sunday with the last 3 teams and feature the two Major teams Derby Girls/OA/Miken/Easton/Worth based out of Washington and Monsta/LaFamiglia/GTL based out of Florida.  Las Vegas is usually some of the best women’s slow pitch of the year because the Big League Dreams fields are well suited for the women’s game.  The weather looks much cooler than usual and we could see some really high scores and late night shootouts this year.  I hope everyone has a great season and want to thank USSSA for their continued support of the Conference which is “THE SHOWCASE” of slow pitch softball.  I also want to thank the sponsors of these teams for all of the hard work, headaches, and stress it takes to put these teams on the field.  Lets have a safe and competitive season and make great memories!
