USSSA Choo Choo Classic Women’s Wrap-up

The 2021 USSSA Choo Choo Classic Women’s Major is officially in the books. A strong field of 11 teams (1 Major, 5 A, 4 B, 1C) came to Chattanooga looking to get in the early points chase the lead. Low Bob's being the only Major team looked to make a statement early in the day that they thought it was their tournament to win, despite being in a strong lower half of the bracket. And that is exactly what they did, beating A team Traders Reloaded 18-2, who had just run-ruled Ruthless 15-5. They would next face Smash It Sports Backman Incognito which they have battled more than any other team this year. Low Bob's would take this one 11-8 to reach the winner's bracket final.

In the top half of the bracket, Storm a B team out of Mississippi consisting of all local talent lived up to their namesake by storming their way to the winner's bracket final with 3 back to back victories in a row. Though Storm kept it close early, Low Bob’s would extend their lead and hold on for a 13-6 victory. Speaking of Storm, Karma, after losing their first game of the tournament, stormed their way through the loser’s bracket to set up one of the best games of the tournament. Despite it being their 6th game of the day, Karma outlasted Storm 25-24 to advance to the championship game.

Fatigue and muscle aches would prove too much to compete against an extremely focused and determined Low Bob’s team. Low Bob’s would put this one away quickly with a resounding 26-3 victory to capture the championship. Finishing in 4th would be a newcomer to the conference, 1931/Here To Have Fun KS Riot Pure GTF.

With the Low Bob's securing the first place win, Randi Kreiter showcased her skills allowing her to take the Tournament MVP home. Terri Ross, also on Low Bobs, excelled on the field winning her the Defensive Tournament MVP. Karma's impressive battle back in the tournament didn't go unrecognized as player Jordan Cole, was awarded the Offensive Tournament MVP.

The next stop for the Women’s conference is the grueling Battle at the Beach dual in Myrtle Beach. For more information click the link below to see the details! http://events.conferenceusssa.com/xl/TournamentMain/#/?eventID=349796&gdSport=17
