The Cincinnati Major is this Friday through Sunday at the Mid America Ballyard and River City West parks in Cincinnati, Ohio located on the Miami river. The games start on Friday at 4:00 PM eastern time with 44 teams total from 15 different states, and 25 of the teams are part of the Nationwide Conference USSSA league. 20 of the teams are classed 'A' and above. There is also a 20 team Women's Major going on at both parks as well starting Friday night. That tournament includes all 6 Women's Major teams and 8 'A' teams. Both tournaments are among the strongest field of teams that we will see this year! On the men's side the winner will get 150 + (25 x 4) = 250 Conference Points!
The weather looks to be in the 80's and there is rain in the forecast so expect long games and long days and we will crown a well deserved champion! There are lots of story lines. The top 3 Major teams are close in points and fighting for the Conference championship. Xtreme and Precision need good weekends to help them get to the Major World Series. And what 'A' team will have a break through weekend and put themselves in position for the major?

This weekend at the Cincinnati Major in Cincinnati, OH will have 4 major teams and 5 AA teams, 11 A, 9 B and 15 C teams. The tournament will begin on Friday evening at 4 pm with the play-in and first round games and then the second round will start at 6:40 pm on Friday night. SmashItSports/Newbreed/TDB/RF/BD/T3 is the #1 overall seed based on Conference points and the favorite after their Smoky Tournament Championship. The other teams looking to upset the #1 seed are: Resmondo/Smash It/Menosse/Thunder; MPT Rentals/Juno Athletics and Dan Smith/Proton. The Cincinnati Major Predictions: The "Elite 8" starts at 12:30 pm on Saturday. The winners advance to the "Final Four" which should be Dan Smith versus Resmondo and SNI versus Smash It Sports. Immediately following the "Final Four" is the undefeated game and should get a rematch of the Smoky Championship game between Resmondo and Smash It Sports. In the loser's bracket, can Chick-fil-A / BAF Sports continue the hot streak? Watch for Silverbacks/Revolution Ath/Koval to upset some conference teams like they did in Chicago.
