Conference USSSA stopped in Peoria, Arizona just outside of Phoenix for the Cactus Classic. The tournament was played at the Pioneer Park with its 325 foot fences. But they used the Dudley Hardcore Pro-M so the scores and game lengths were crazy. I-57 Roofing the only ‘AA’ team in the tournament averaged 41.8 runs per game (8.36 runs per inning) to go undefeated as the Hardcore ball reduced the 325 fields to what felt like 290 foot fields. Congratulations to I-57 for adjusting to the field/ball conditions and letting each game they played kind of come to them. Cheap Suits grinded to a 2nd place finish. BeHappy who is from Arizona finished 3rd. And F1’s from Texas finished 4th. I have 7 condensed games coming out from the men’s Cactus Classic.

Women’s Phoenix Dual #1

The women played a Dual tournament with Team 24/Suncoast/Native (TX-Major) and Derby Girls/Resmondo/OA/SIS (FL-Major) each winning a tournament. The women also used the Hardcore ball which made for some wild games. I have two women’s condensed games coming out soon.
