Fishers Softball out Pennsylvania had just the right amount of defense, offense, and pitching to go undefeated.
Conference USSSA returned to the Connecticut Sportsplex in Branford, Connecticut for the Northeast Shootout for the first time in over a decade. Fishers Softball/StoltzfusWelding/All Hustle (PA-B) went 4-0 upsetting Canada’s top USSSA ‘A’ team Proaxion (who finished 4th) 41-38 in the semifinals Saturday morning, AUIT/Demieri Properties/Inc/BD (NY-B) (who finished 3rd) 26-21 in the winner’s final Saturday afternoon, and Chick-fil-a/Shore OL/LS/Skyren/BAF (VA-AA) 42-24 in the championship Saturday evening. Fishers was led by their pitcher and MVP Levi Stoltzfus who made some key pitches, defensive line drive stabs, and clutch hits and home runs throughout the event. The directors thought the fields were 325 feet but they were only 300 feet so they used the Hardcore ball which made for some crazy high scores.
