Austin Andrews with another ESPN catch as Conference USSSA returns to Viera, Florida!

Conference USSSA played their annual Hall of Fame Classic in Viera, Florida at the Space Coast Complex and their all turf baseball fields. Resmondo rolled through Dual #1 Thursday and Friday going undefeated and knocking off Sonny’s in both the winner’s final 39-30 and championship 41-30. RoofX was 3rd and Sports Reach the highest finishing AA team was 4th. The tournament was highlighted by Sports Reach center fielder Austin Andrews who made a spectacular diving catch towards the outfield fence at full speed against Juno. The video clip was sent in to ESPN.

Men’s Dual #2

Dual #2 – LSR’s Zach Goleniak hits against Resmondo’s Travis Clark.

In Dual #2 it was more Resmondo powering their way through the Saturday and Sunday double elimination tournament as they knocked off surprise ‘A’ team LSR 37-18 in the winner’s bracket finals and again in the championship Sunday 40-10 after scoring 35 runs on 9 home runs in the bottom of the 1st inning. Resmondo averaged a tournament high 35.4 runs per game. LSR the highest finishing ‘A’ team was 2nd, RoofX finished 3rd as they did in both tournaments, and Nitro Circus the highest finishing ‘AA’ team was 4th. The tournament was highlighted by RoofX pitcher Justin Mucciarelli who pitched a perfect game against Cheap Suits Saturday night. 29 total pitches and the minimum 12 batters in a 25-0 run rule win.
