SouthCoast Today: Lady Stingers Inducted into New England USSSA Hall of Fame

The Lady Stingers slow-pitch softball team was recently inducted into the New England United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) Hall of Fame as a "Team of Distinction." Current and former players from the local area attended the ceremony, held in Crowell, Connecticut.

The team's USSSA record is 380-214, which includes four New England championships, won in 2000, 2002, 2005 and 2007. Their overall record since 1990 in USSSA, Amateur Softball Association (ASA) and National Softball Association (NSA) action is 572-254.

The Lady Stingers are managed by Roger Laferriere, assisted by Leo Roy and Sue Correia.
