Competitive Edge/Olmito Heat/Adiktiv (FL-A) won the best out of 3 vs Seminole/TPS/NACSF.INC (OK-A) to win the 29 team Rocky Mountain Classic in Loveland, Colorado July 23-25. They lost to Seminoles 38-31 in the winner's bracket finals Saturday night when Seminoles 1st baseman Oliver Odle went 5-6 with 3 HR and 8 RBI and Seminoles outscored Competitive Edge 4-0 in the 7th inning. But Competitive Edge came back on Sunday morning beating Smash/The Lodge Card Club 28-10 scoring 10 runs in the bottom of the 4th when Keith McCormack went 5-5 with 3 HR and 10 RBI. Then they "double dipped" Seminoles to win the tournament. In the 1st championship game Competitive Edge was down 25-15 in the bottom of the 6th when they scored 26 runs to leave Seminoles on the field 41-25. Leadoff man Logan Rogers went 7-7 and Tyler Ervine was 5-6 with 3 HR and 10 RBI. In the second game Competitive Edge won 29-28 scoring 10 runs in the bottom of the 2nd and Steve Whaley went 4-5 with 3 HR and 11 RBI. It was Competitive Edge's first tournament win of the season after finishing 2nd at the Dudley! Josh Moore led Comp Edge with an .813 on base percentage and Tyler Ervine had a tournament high 14 HR and 33 RBI. For Seminoles the Offensive MVP Brian Therkildsen had an .882 onbase percentage. The Conference moves next to Seattle for the Christan Dowling Derby Dual this Thursday through Sunday with a Memorial service and Home Run Derby starting Wednesday night on

Greenspace/First Watch/Dudley (KS-A) beat Levels/Easton/El Toro 10-0 in the winner's bracket finals Saturday afternoon and again 18-8 in the championship early Saturday evening to win the 6 team Women's Conference event in Loveland, Colorado! The victory will move Greenspace into a better position to make the USSSA Women's Major World Series!
