R&M Metals: 15
Demarini Dirty: 17
Definitely an exciting game of Slow Pitch softball! It started with a well played first inning with two runs for Demarini in the top half of the first as Santana runs the bases for the first run and Adam Rockoff hitting a solo home run. The bottom of the inning didn’t go R&M’s way with no runs and no hits. For the second inning Demarini scored a further three runs while, R&M score five with Kevin Lucas scoring the equalizing run, they then went on to score a further five runs in part thanks a grand slam by Brandon Dillon. Definitely a great third inning for Demarini who score four in the top half, with three coming from a great hit over the rightfield fence by Baggs. No runs for R&M giving Demarini another chance to try and retake the lead in the top of the forth. Sadly it didn’t go their way and they were retired after three quick outs. R&M went on to score another two runs in the bottom of the forth inning.
By the time it came to the top of the 5th, Demarini were working hard to close the gap and score two runs to make it a one run ballgame. Bases were loaded for Moore and some great hits brought two runners home allowing Demarini to take the lead from R&M. Demarini went on score a further two runs before they were retired. It was an uneventful bottom of the fifth for R&M. For top of the sixth Demarini see a great Home Run with Adam Rockoff which landed just at the foot of the flags beyond the leftfield wall, the side was later retired with two further runs increasing their lead to 5 runs. Both R&M and Demarini battled tirelessly for the bottom of the sixth and top of the seventh inning’s but failed to score any runs. R&M’s last hope was to equalize during the bottom of the seventh, but this failed to occur. They did however score three runs to make the final score 17 to 15 for Demarini.
