55th Annual USSSA Major World Series!
Viera, FL
October 8-11, 2025
The 55th annual USSSA Major World Series began on Wednesday morning October 8th at the Space Coast Stadium in Viera, Florida with 16 Conference USSSA teams seeded in a double elimination tournament based on points. The most prestigious tournament in slow pitch softball used a fair batch of the Dudley Stadium ZN balls, the all turf field dimensions were 325-365-385-365-325, and there was no home run limit. The higher seeded team in each game was automatically made the home team based on the seasons long Conference points standings. The tournament featured a few upsets, some rain, weather changes, and a dramatic showdown between top rivals.

Team by Team Notes
1st Place – Resmondo-SIS-Skoni-StubTerm-RDD-S&S
FL-Major Record 6-1
Resmondo won for the 3rd year in a row, their 5th in the last 6 years, and their 6th in the last 8 years! The primary sponsor Travis Resmondo has now won the Major World Series 16 times! This year they lost by the run rule to Roofx Friday night in the winner’s bracket finals but recovered Saturday night escaping a close win over Proton in the loser’s final and then they impressively “double dipped” RoofX in the finals. The pitching, defense, and especially the power carried the day Saturday with Cory Briggs coming off the bench with a .833 on base percentage and 7 clutch home runs. Resmondo hit 112 home runs in 7 games which comes out to 16 home runs per game. There were teams in this tournament that hit just 2 home runs for the entire tournament.
Congratulations to Brett Helmer and the sponsorship group on another world title!
2nd Place – RoofX/Thunder/BD/CE/Chosen/RF/Pure
IN-Major Record 4-2
RoofX finally had Resmondo where they wanted them after winning the winner’s final Friday night by the run rule. But they just never put together those double digit innings they needed to beat a team like Resmondo in the championship. Jeremy Fry pulled a hamstring in the first championship game that didn’t help. And then the controversial decision to go with Austyn Dawe at pitcher over their regular season starter Kyle Center who had something like a .900 winning percentage vs Resmondo over the past two seasons. But hindsight is 20/20 and RoofX did have a great year finishing first in the point standings.
