At 11:30 AM the semifinals began and you can read about those games in more detail if you scroll down the page. After the semifinals the 2nd round of the loser’s bracket played 4 games in a row. The 2nd semifinal was between two Major teams Juno and RoofX. Juno won one of the Hall of Fame Classic dual tournaments back in April so they had success on this same field earlier in the season. They increased their lead to 21-6 in the 3rd and left Juno on the field by the 20 run mercy rule in the bottom of the 4th 29-8. Joe Joe Bennett and Joey Miller were each 4-4 in the win as they out homered Juno 11-4.

MWS Game #27 – Winner’s Final – Resmondo vs RoofX condensed game link
For the winner’s final the sun went down, the temperature cooled off, and it was a beautiful night for softball. Resmondo went down in order 1-2-3 to start the top of the 1st which is very unusual for them. Austyn Dawe instead of Kyle Center was doing the pitching for RoofX. PKC had won 12 of his last 14 starts against Resmondo so this was a bit of a controversial decision as RoofX decided to go with more power in the lineup, although they batted 11. Resmondo manager Brett Helmer on the other hand went with a 10 man lineup like he did at the Smoky Mountain Classic earlier in the season. In the bottom of the 2nd inning RoofX got a 2 run homer by Logan Rogers to roll over to the top of the order where Roofx hit 3 more home runs to go up 9-2. RoofX added to their lead in the 3rd and tied Resmondo 6-6 in the 4th, beating Resmondo at their own game with power. In the bottom of the 5th needing 8 runs to end it, RoofX got home runs from Joe Bennett, Terry Lambright, Arlis Miller, Tyler Ervine, and a game winning single from Joey Miller to run rule Resmondo 32-17. Arlis Miller at leadoff was 5-5 with 3 HR and Joey Miller was 5-5 with 4 singles and a homer in the win. Joey was now 11-11 in the tournament. RoofX out homered Resmondo 19-9. Resmondo went back to their hotels Friday night knowing they would have to win 3 straight games against Major teams to win the World Series.
Arlis Miller hits his 3rd homer of the game.
Joey Miller ends the game by the run rule with a base hit.
