The August 2014 Nationwide Conference USSSA “Player of the Month”!
Andy Purcell of Resmondo Specialty Tank/Worth is the August Nationwide Conference USSSA Player of the Month! At the Michigan Major, Purcell was onbase 24-31 .774 with 9 HR and 22 RBI as his team finished 2nd. At the Nationwide Conference USSSA Championship at the end of August he was named MVP of the tournament and was onbase 17-25 .680 with a tournament high 12 HR and 25 RBI while pitching his team to the championship from the loser’s bracket and “double dipping” the #2 team Laservision/H Auto/JJ’s/Easton.
On Saturday at the Nationwide Conference USSSA awards banquet Andy Purcell was named co-MVP of the year along with Brian Wegman. For the year Purcell was onbase .717 with 89 HR and 250 RBI while winning 2 tournament MVP awards and 7 All Tournament team selections!
