Nationwide Conference USSSA: 2012 Kansas City Tournament Review

Laser Vision/Annihilation/Supreme/D2E/Easton continues to improve with each tournament as they defeated Resmondo-Specialty Tank/Worth 50-19 in the winner’s bracket championship to best the 32 team field at the Worth Sports/Mike Turney Memorial Major in Kansas City. Rain washed out Sunday’s final 4 so Resmondo gets 2nd place and R&M Metals and Hubs Pub tie for 3rd. Resmondo played without injured pitcher Andy Purcell, SS Don Dedonatis Jr, and CF Bobby Hughes. All were hurt in the Hall of Fame Classic in their first tournament. Resmondo bought out L.C. Watson’s Easton contract in order to have him pitch for them until Andy Purcell is able to come back.

There were 32 teams entered in the Conference USSSA tournament in Kansas City called the Worth Sports “Mike Turney Memorial”. 6 were Conference teams. Last year remember, it was RFC who finished 2nd as a ‘B’ team with an incredible run.
