Nationwide Conference: Music City Cancelled; USSSA Expresses Disappointment

The Gallatin, Tennessee Parks and Recreation Department Leisure Department dropped the ball before the first game of the Music City Major was even played. The Parks director would not allow an crew to work on the fields and the entire weekend was canceled inexplicably at noon on Saturday when there was still plenty of time to get the fields in playable condition and at least play the winner’s bracket to completion. USSSA directors were unable to convince the Gallatin parks department to work on the fields; much to the disappointment of fans, players, coaches, and also USSSA officials.

The Nationwide Conference USSSA will resume play in Atlanta, Georgia next weekend.
