TYJA-Suncoast Reebok continued their recent hot streak by winning their first Conference tournament of the season in dominating fashion by going 5-0 and beating Team Combat/Pacific Headwear in the championship game 20-4. TYJA was led by MVP pitcher TJ Thompson and Offensive MVP Jason Baxter. TYJA won all but one of their games by 12 or more runs.
Team Combat fought through the loser’s bracket to finish 2nd. TNT Softball, a ‘C’ team out of New Jersey was third and Taylormade/TM Sports/Mizuno was fourth.
The team with the most to gain by a good finish, B&B/Sears/N&N Finishing went just 1-2 and did not pick up enough positions to score points to help them make the Major World Series.
