2021 USSSA 'AA' Worlds

1st Place – SNI/Thunder/Chosen/DeMarini (FL-AA)

SNI/Thunder/Chosen/DeMarini the #1 'AA' team in the country won their 2nd consecutive USSSA 'AA' World tournament on Monday, October 5th at Viera's Spacecoast Stadium. They went undefeated escaping close wins over Primetime 15-11 in their opener, winning by the run rule against Precision 22-7 in the quarterfinals, coming from behind to beat Bay Area Legends 9-7 in the semifinals, and holding on to a 21-20 win over #2 S&E in the winner's final. In the championship game they beat a banged up S&E team 14-11 to win the title! It was manager Scott Napierata's 2nd 'AA' championship in a row! S&E (NC-AA) was missing 3 players due to injuries and covid but fought hard to finish 2nd. Albicocco (FL-AA) won 4 games in the loser's bracket to finish 3rd. And Westpoint Softball (IN-A) won 3 games in the loser's bracket to finish 4th. The weather was warm during the day, the fences were 325 feet, and the Dudley Pro-M balls were inconsistent leading to lower than normal scores.
