Resmondo/SIS/All-American/Menosse (FL-Major) the #1 team in the nation continued to roll with another tournament win. This one besting a field of 31 teams including 29 from the Conference and almost all of the top 25 teams in the nation! The Jim Beam Classic scheduled for Hendersonville, Tennessee got moved at the last minute to Cookeville, Tennessee and the men’s show field ended up being the beautiful Tennessee Tech college baseball field with 330-360-405-365-329 field dimensions. While many of the Friday games and all of the loser’s bracket was played on the 300 foot fields at Cane Creek park 5 minutes away. A good batch of Dudley Stadium ZN’s led to some high scoring and entertaining games on the show field and I will be condensing the last 9 games on the show field for your viewing pleasure on the USSSALive YouTube channel. Resmondo rolled through the tournament undefeated beating rival Competitive Edge 45-31 in the semifinals and Roofx 47-40 in the winner’s final Saturday night. MPT Rentals after losing to Roofx in the semifinals then beat Competititve Edge late Saturday night to make it to Sunday where they trailed Roofx in the loser’s bracket finals by 6 in the bottom of the 7th but walked them down and won on a 2 out home run by Joe Joe Bennett. In the championship Resmondo trounced a tired and short handed MPT Rentals by the 20 run rule in 4 innings to win their 4th tournament of the year and increase their points lead to an incredible 310 points!

Classic Glass/Nitro Circus/Rawlings the Washington Major team won the Jim Beam Classic taking what amounted to a best of 3 against KHAOS/SNI/BaughFord/D1 (FL-A) 11-7, 12-15, and 16-10 in Cookeville, Tennessee. It was Classics 2nd tournament win of the season in a tournament that had 16 teams (15 Conference) and 5 Major teams in attendance.
