The 2026 Conference USSSA season continues this coming Thursday, April 16th at Noon Eastern time with a 16 team double elimination men’s tournament which will end with the championship game being played early Friday afternoon. Then starting Friday at 4:00 PM and ending Saturday evening the same 16 teams will play another double elimination tournament. 15 of the 16 teams are from the Conference USSSA league and they come from 13 different states. If you are doing the math at home each tournament is worth 180 + (15 x 4) = 240 points to the winner. There are 4 Major teams this year and 11 AA/A teams in the bracket. The tournament is being held at the USSSA headquarters in Viera, Florida at the Space Coast Stadium Complex on its 5 baseball fields including the Stadium. All 5 of the fields have 325-365-385-365-325 out field fence dimensions. A 50 foot pitching rubber and 75 foot bases will be used for the men’s games. All games with a ‘AA’ or above team in it will have a 14 home run limit and games with any Major team in it will have a 16 HR limit. Any game with a ‘A’ and below teams in it will have a 12 HR limit. Although the home run limit does not normally come into play on these fields unless the wind is blowing out.

USSSA’s top league, the Conference, began last weekend with the Las Vegas Major where Juno Athletics/LSR (NJ-Major) beat CutThroatSports/Impact Edge/Coursey Realty (CA-B) in the championship. The Major teams Resmondo-SIS-Stub Term-RDD-S&S-LLC- (FL-M), DanSmith/Proton/Thunder/RoofX/RF/BD (IN-M), Juno Athletics / LSR (NJ-M), and ShoreOL/CheapSuits/Str8play/Rebel (CA-M), should be the heavy favorites on the big fields this week in Florida but upsets are the norm during these dual tournaments. Just 4 years ago Sports Reach won one of the HOF Dual tournaments as a ‘AA’ team! Can anyone stop Resmondo who won all three unlimited home run tournaments (Seattle baseball field, Smoky, & Major World Series) last year? Resmondo kept their same team for the most part except long time 2nd baseman Greg Connell is now with Juno and utility man “OG” Kyle Pearson went to WestPoint. They picked up Ataraxis outfielder Quincy Latimore and Cheap Suits infielder Daniel Cayton. Roofx who won the Conference Championship a year ago returns with a new main sponsor, Dan Smith. They lost Terry Lambright, Logan Rogers, and Ryan Mcclanahan who all went to WestPoint. Chris Anninos and pitcher Kyle Center who are now with ShoreOL. And Kyle Miller who retired? The new Dan Smith/RoofX team did pick up Anthony Acevedo, Tyler Storey, and Ryan Harvey from Str8play, and Josh Riley from Juno to add power to the roster. Dan Smith is going with Austyn Dawe and Faron Fry as their pitchers to start the season. Juno Athletics returns most of their young players from 2025 but lost Josh Riley to Dan Smith and Chad Mullins is a free agent. They added veterans Flip Washington from WestPoint, Greg Connell from Resmondo, and Dan Herren from Str8play. The final Major team last year was Str8play and they morphed into a new Major team called ShoreOL/CheapSuits/Str8play/Rebel (CA-M). The new team is a combination of Cody Collins who is also the ShoreOL sponsor, Carlos Abrigo and Brandon Traylor who came over with Sonny Aguilera – the Cheap Suits sponsor, and Joey Capparelli, Ryan Honeycutt, Tyler Dickens, Andrew Vitcak, Bryan Dezern, and Chad Erickson who remain from Str8play/Rebel. Chris Anninos and Kyle Center come over from RoofX, John Radich from Westpoint, and Marc Wik from Ataraxis. Quite an assembly of new players who I think will be dangerous on the 300 and 325 foot fields.

On the women’s side there will also be a 12 team Dual tournament featuring 4 of their 5 Major teams. The 1st tournament starts and ends Friday and the 2nd dual starts Saturday  morning and ends Saturday morning. The women will play in the White quad with temporary fences set at 300 feet. Derby Girls and Juno each won one of the Las Vegas tournaments to start the season 2 weeks ago.

USSSALive.com will have multiple cameras on the Stadium field for select games Friday and Saturday and the other fields will be covered by one or two stationary cameras.  The Chat Room will also be open so you can ask Eric questions during the livestream broadcasts and DW as he walks around to the different fields collecting video clips, pictures, and condensed games.  Remember that all men’s teams that were not in Las Vegas need to have their team picture taken by DW at some point during the weekend.  Good luck!

Games will be streamed onUSSSALive.com
