Thursday, October 9, 2025
The Major World Series continued on Thursday with 2 loser’s bracket games to begin the day and then the quarterfinals and semifinals were supposed to fill the rest of the day. Then at 9:45 AM Sports Reach made quick work of SNI run ruling them in 4.5 innings 23-5 as Josh Fyffe and Justin Ogletree each went 4-4 even though both teams hit just 3 home runs. Then the quarterfinals began at 11:30 AM and if you scroll down you can read about those games below.

Game #15 Recap – 4:45 PM
#5 Proton/Str8play/Rebel (CA-Major)
vs
#4 Juno Athletics / LSR (NJ-Major)
MWS Game #15 – Proton vs Juno condensed game link
The last quarterfinal game was the first matchup between Major teams in this years World Series. Proton vs Juno. Juno was home team as they had passed Proton in the points standings at the Conference Championship just a few weeks earlier. This was a great game early on with the teams swapping the lead several times in the first 3 innings highlighted by Juno’s Brandon Jackson making a nice catch at the fence in left field to end the top of the 2nd. The two teams were tied 12-12 going into the 4th inning when heavy rains slowed both offenses. After a very long rain delay and a change to significantly less wind, Proton came out flat as a pancake and scored zero runs in the 5th, 6th, and 7th innings. Meanwhile Juno scored 5 on 3 in the bottom of the 5th and added 4 more runs and another Jackson fence robbing home run in the 6th to win it 22-12 out homering Proton 11-7. John Williams led the Juno offense with a 5-5 and 3 HR performance.
The Semifinals began in the rain between Resmondo and Ataraxis but the game was soon postponed until Friday as the rain and lightning just would not let up.
