Conference USSSA travels to Kent, Washington this week 17 men’s and 12 women’s teams will play two double elimination tournaments. The Seattle “Dual” Major #1 starts for the men on Thursday morning at 8:30 AM Pacific time at the Hogan park. They are playing the first dual on the 300 foot fields with the Pro-M ball. The 1st Dual finishes up with the championship game scheduled for Friday at 3:00 PM pacific time. The second dual tournament actually starts at 9:45 AM Friday morning while the first one is finishing and continues all day on Saturday with the championship set for Sunday at 9:45 AM. That 2nd Dual tournament is unlimited home runs, 80 foot bases, and the Dudley Hardcore ball on the baseball field and the Dudley Classic-M China ball on the softball fields. They will play as many winner’s bracket games as they can on field #1 (baseball field) with 330-365-390-371-366-344-325 dimensions. Dan Smith who won the Smoky Mountain Classic could get back into the points race with two tournament wins in Seattle although that would be tough to do with Resmondo there. BeHappy the Arizona ‘AA’ team and Bay Area Legends the California ‘A’ team will try to pull off some upsets The weather looks good and a clash of the titans (Dan Smith vs Resmondo) is expected up to 6 games between them. The winner of each tournament will get 180 + (16 x 4) = 244 points.

On the women’s side they have 12 teams including the major teams Derby Girls and LaFamiglia. Derby Girls is favored since LaFamiglia has not played in a couple of months. The women have 9 conference teams so 180 + (9 x 4) = 216 points to the winner’s.

The festivities begin Wednesday night at 6 PM with the “All go, no quit”, Christan Dowling Home Run Derby.
