Chick-fil-a MVP J.T. Gregory hits against Competitive Edge in the championship!
The Kut 4 Sports Atlanta Major was played in near perfect softball weather at the Al Bishop 5 field softball complex in Marietta, Georgia. There were 23 teams including 11 from the Conference USSSA. Chick-fil-a/Slugger/BAF/LBT a ‘AA’ team from Virginia went undefeated beating Competitive Edge/Olmito/Suncoast (FL-AA) 31-9 in the winner’s bracket finals Saturday night and then they had a come from behind win over Competitive Edge 45-29 in the Championship Sunday. 4With.com/Premier/BAF/Easton (OH-A) who lost their 2nd game of the tournament to Rock Run/AllHustle/Silverback/Koval (IN-B) then won 5 straight in the loser’s bracket including a “revenge” win over Rock Run in the 4th place game and 4With finished 3rd. Rock Run finished 4th knocking off 2 higher level opponents. Primetime/Easton/FAI (GA-A) and Sports Reach/Riot (FL-AA) finished tied for 5th.

Women’s Atlanta Major
Justine Morrison hits for Lady SNI in the winner’s final vs Team 24!
Lady SNI/D1/Apparel/DeMarini/Slugger (FL-Major) lost 17-8 in the winner’s bracket finals to Team 24/Proton (FL-Major) late Saturday afternoon. SNI then recovered to beat 1931HTHF/KandySports (NC-A) 9-5 in the loser’s bracket finals and dug down deep to “double dip” Team 24 11-2 and 16-15 in the finals to win the 9 team Kut 4 Sports Atlanta women’s Major. Lady SNI had just 10 players available. Khaos/SNI/D1 Apparel a Florida ‘B’ team finished an impressive 4th in a strong field of teams.
