The 5th Annual Chattahoochee Major in Columbus, Georgia is this weekend with 12 men’s and 11 women’s teams almost all of whom are from the Conference USSSA travelling league. On the men’s side all 4 Major teams and 4 of the 5 ‘AA’ teams will be playing. This tournament has no “junk” in it and every game should be a good matchup. On the women’s side they have 5 Major teams and 4 ‘A’ teams and their tournament should be equally entertaining from the very first game. The men start on Friday at 5 PM and end Saturday night. The women start and end Saturday. The Chattahoochee weather is supposed to be a high of 90 degrees with a chance of thunderstorms both days but even with the heat the Dudley Pro-M 44/375 ball on the 300 foot fields always seems to fly there. Resmondo is looking for their first tournament win of the season. RoofX and Juno are looking for their first tournament win on 300 foot fields. And Proton and Westpoint should be in the mix on the smaller fields. There should be (11 x 4) + 180 = 224 points for the winner. Westpoint is the #1 seed. I-57 Roofing is the #2 seed.
