Buzini/BuffaloWildWings/Worth wins 1st Annual “Buzini Gulf Coast Clash”

Buzin/BuffaloWildWings/Worth won their home state (Mississippi) major by going 5-0.  They won 3 straight games over fellow Nationwide Conference USSSA ‘B’ opponents in the winners bracket – Primetime, Adiktiv, and Headhunters.  Then in the championship on Sunday they beat non-Conference ‘B’ Texas team Old School 19-10.  Old School had run off 5 straight in the loser’s bracket including 4 wins over Nationwide Conference teams to finish 2nd.  Headhunters was third and Mississippi’s own Sportscenter was 4th.

The tournament was delayed by massive rains which pushed the start time for the first games late into Saturday in less than favorable field conditions.  A 5 inning or 45 minute time limit was used for much of Saturdays games.
