The Nationwide Conference USSSA returned to Colorado for the 30th Annual Rocky Mountain Shootout! B&B Drywall/Easton a ‘B’ team out of Belton, Missouri bested a field of 26 teams by going an undefeated 5-0. B&B beat AZM/3n2/Easton/Classick Sports from Arizona 22-8 in the winner’s bracket championship game on Saturday night and Sonny’s 26-25 on Sunday in the championship game. B&B Drywall wins their second Conference event of the season (first was Arkansas) and scored at least 22 runs in all 5 victories, the last 3 of which were against fellow Conference opponents. Sonny’s finishes second after losing 24-23 to local ‘C’ team Peak Softball in the second round and then winning 5 straight in the loser’s bracket including 4 straight over the top ‘C’ teams in the tournament (CSC, Stars, Midwest Hearing, Peak) and then knocking off AZM in the loser’s finals 43-32. AZM was third and Peak Softball finished 4th
