BaughFord.com/MOJO/Louisville Slugger based out of Alabama went 5-1 and defeated Team Adiktiv/Dynasty/D2E/LS/TYJA 32-27 in the “if” game of the championship. Team Adiktiv knocked off Headhunters 33-28 in the loser’s bracket championship game late on Saturday night. Then they jumped out to a lead on BaughFord.com in the first game of the championship and held them off 40-36 to make it to the “if” game. In the final game BaughFord.com nearly had a tired Team Adiktiv team (playing their ninth game of the day) run ruled, but Adiktiv found a second wind and fought back to a five run loss.
BaughFord continues to make a push for the top ‘B’ team in the Nationwide Conference and join ASPNation and Classic Glass as new Conference tournament winners. Second place Adiktiv continues to be the most impressive offensive ‘B’ team in the league as they scored some 263 runs in nine games in one day in Atlanta. Taking a look at the bracket there were many evenly matched games and at least from a competition point of view this was a great tournament. The tournament started at 8 AM Saturday morning and finished at 1:30 AM Sunday morning with most of the teams having stayed at the park until they were knocked out. Quite a long day.
