The 55th Annual Smoky Mountain classic got underway on Friday morning at 10 AM in Maryville, TN with each team trying to get to Saturday’s Final 8 undefeated. It became clear early on that Resmondo was still playing on higher level than everyone else and they rolled through the tournament winning by the run rule in every game and beating MPT Rentals 45-6 in the winner’s final Saturday night and again 53-38 leaving them on the field on Sunday in the championship. Travis Clark was MVP. And all 4 major teams finished 1-4. Jeremy Yates led the tournament in home runs for Monsta with 29. Monsta’s Austyn Dawe had 28 and Mitch Lendenski from Competitive Edge had 28 as well.
