3rd Annual Louisville Slugger “Sin City Classic” Preview

The 2013 Nationwide Conference USSSA season kicks off this weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada with the 3rd Annual Louisville Slugger “Sin City Classic”! The tournament features the 2012 Major World Series champions Laservision/Desert Falls/Boombah/Easton sponsored out of New York.

Also featured are class ‘A’ teams Nordkap/Suncoast Reebok based out of Florida, Line Drive Sportz/Miken based out of Michigan, and 4 The Fallen/Miken based out of Arizona. These teams will try to battle their way through a field of B-E teams which include 5 other teams from Nationwide Conference USSSA.

Last year, Nordkap/Desert Falls/Easton came away with the victory in the first Nationwide Conference Event of the season going 6-0 on the weekend. Sonny’s/ Louisville Slugger came in second, going 5-2.

Play on Friday, April 5th and the live internet feed of the Angel Stadium replica field will begin at 12:45 pacific time on Saturday, April 6th on softballcenter.com . Live coverage of the main field will continue through the championship game which is set for Sunday at 10:30 AM. There are 23 teams in the event and the games will be played at the Big League Dreams park at 3151 East Washington street. The fields feature artificial turf infields and 6 softball fields.

The weather for the weekend looks like it will be great softball weather with traditional Vegas wind.
