The 2025 Conference USSSA season continues in Branford, Connecticut for the Northeast Shootout. The tournament returns as a Major for the first time since 2012. There are 14 men’s teams from 6 different states and one team, Proaxion, from Canada. There are only 2 Conference teams in the event, Chick-fil-a/Shore OL/LS/Skyren/BAF (VA-AA) and Fishers/StoltzfusWelding/All Hustle (PA-B) so the winner will earn 180 + (4 x 2) = 188 Conference points. Chick-fil-a will be the heavy favorite but they have not played well in 2025 so the door is open for Proaxion or one of the 12 B/C teams to get hot and pull off an upset. The fields are 300 feet with artificial turf infields and grass outfields. They will use the Dudley Pro-M ball and there is rain and thunderstorms in the forecast. The tournament begins on Friday and ends on Saturday night. On the women’s side there are 6 teams from 6 different states and they will begin and end their tournament on Saturday with Broughton and DBrand being the favorites and the upset minded Beloli not far behind.
