Nitro/Beloli/Ataraxis/SBT/SOL/BAF/K (MD-AA) won their 2nd tournament of the season in Glen Burnie, Maryland this past weekend. There were 11 teams overall and 2 were from the Conference USSSA and they played at the Bachmann Sports Complex. Nitro Circus run ruled their way to the championship game beating Van Wert Frickers 34-7 in the winner’s bracket finals Saturday at 3 PM. Then in the championship game Van Wert pulled off a 27-26 victory to force an “if” game Saturday night where Nitro Circus refocused and won convincingly 39-13. Led by MVP Filip Washington .885, 7 HR, 18 RBI, the Nitro Circus offense had a .723 on base percentage as a team for the weekend and scored 6.6 runs per inning.

Angry Beavers/Ohio Heating (OH-B) upset an 8 team women’s field of teams which included 4 ‘A’ teams. They knocked off DBrand/Treedem/Nulife (PA-A) 13-9 in the winner’s final and Rogue/SteelSports/Worth/Robinhood (NJ-A) 14-4 in the championship of the one day tournament.

Conference USSSA played a 2nd tournament this past weekend in Portland, Oregon at the Delta Park 7/27/2024. There were 10 teams overall and 2 were from the Conference. After an early upset by Sticky Bandits/Mohn Drywall (WA-C) over one of the favorites Cheap Suits/Republic Realty/SP (CA-A) 40-29 in the “Round of 8” the tournament opened up for Classic Glass. Classic rolled through the tournament run ruling GTL/Dirt/Legacy/DRDrywall/AZG (WA-B) 28-13 in the semifinals, then winning 36-14 over J&I/WestCoast/HellsCanyon/Spo (WA-B) in the winner’s final, and then Classic beat GTL 47-32 in the championship game Saturday night. It was Classic’s first tournament win since the Conference Championships last fall in Indiana.

Women’s Rose City Classic
1st Place – Lost Art Graphics (NV-B)
Lost Art Graphics (NV-B) beat NCN/Big Kid (CA-B) 14-13 in the winner’s final Saturday and then again 10-6 in the championship to win the Rose City Major at the beautiful Delta Park softball complex in Portland Oregon. The tournament had 11 women’s teams including 5 from Conference USSSA and was played on Saturday, July 27th 2024. The tournament was filled with games decided by 1 run.
