Conference USSSA has a 2nd men’s tournament this weekend. Not only are they playing in Seattle but they are heading to the “Crown Town” Classic as well. 24 teams from 11 different states are playing at the Mid America Sports Complex in Shawnee, Kansas for the 4th year in a row. The Major has 9 teams from the Conference and begins at 4:00 PM CENTRAL time Friday and they bring back 3 teams on Sunday. The fields are all turf and 300 feet and they will use the Dudley Pro-M ball with 8-12-14 HR limits. The Conference teams for the most part all have bye’s and start in the “Round of 16”. If they win, T’s 13 a non conference ‘A’ team, would play Sports Reach which would be a great matchup. Seminoles vs Nally’s is also an interesting matchup in the “Round of 16” because both teams need a good tournament. Last years winner WestPoint could open against Weather Pro/Cedar Creek which would be a fun game. And a 10 PM Friday night matchup between the ‘AA’ teams WestPoint and Str8play in the “Round of 8” could be a good one. Resmondo as the #1 seed is the favorite and the 180 + (9 x 4) = 216 points they could earn by winning the Crown Town Classic would put them in 1st place in the Conference going into the Smoky Mountain Classic next month.
