The Conference Championships will be held at the Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Alabama this Friday thru Sunday September 13-15. The double elimination tournament features the top 25 men’s teams in the nation and the top 16 women’s teams. The weather looks shaky as tropical storm Francine makes its way ashore and looks to affect the weather in Oxford, Alabama. The men are playing on the 3 baseball fields while the women are on the softball fields. Unfortunately they are dirt/grass fields although some think the main stadium field is turf (not sure). There are 180 + (19 x 4) = 256 points to the winner. 216 for 2nd, 196 for 3rd, 186 for 4th, 176 for 5th and so on. RoofX grabbed the lead in the points by 24 points at the Pocket City Dual last month and will try to hold onto that lead over Resmondo who has won all of the tournaments on baseball fields (HOF1, HOF2, Memphis, Smoky) except for Phoenix. Meanwhile #4 Sonny’s who is 10 points out of 3rd place, and #8 Juno Athletics look to improve their seed for the upcoming USSSA Major World Series.
