“The Olympics of Softball”

The 2022 USSSA Challenge Cup is in its 5th year and features 450 teams playing across a month of weekends in a state vs state format. In its inaugural season (2019) Challenge Cup had 24 teams, in 2020 they had 74 teams, in 2021 they drew 164 teams, and 2022 they had 316. The growth and creation of this event is the brainchild of tournament director Strojan Kennison. The Challenge Cup men’s Major tournament begins on Friday, January 27th with 18 teams!

They will play at Viera, Florida’s Space Coast Complex with its all turf fields and the Space Coast Stadium with its 325-365-385-365-325 field dimensions with a 16 HR limit using the Dudley Stadium ZN ball! The Major Division starts at 8 am eastern time on Friday morning with a 2 game pool play for all teams with the double elimination bracket play starting on Friday night at 4:30 PM and ending Sunday with the championship set for 9:30 AM. #PlayUSSSA #ChallengeAccepted
