Men’s Pocket City Dual #1 Major
MPT Rentals/Juno Athletics used a dominating offense to overcome fielding and base running errors to beat Resmondo twice in the championship of the Pocket City Dual #1 tournament at Deaconess Sports Park in Evansville, Indiana August 11-12, 2022. The other Major teams Smash It Sports finished 3rd and Monsta finished 4th in the 37 team double elimination tournament. The 37 teams were all Conference teams and they came from 19 different states. The tournament was played in near perfect softball weather on the 8 fields at Deaconess Sports Park with artificial turf infields and 300-315-300 foot home run fence dimensions with the Dudley Pro-M ‘D’ stamped balls.

Lady SNI went undefeated to capture Dual #1 in Evansville, Indiana. They knocked off the feisty Xtreme (MN-A) team 15-14 in the winner’s bracket finals and again 19-5 in the championship.

MPT’s Joe Dorton paints the left field line to beat Competitive Edge in the Winner’s final of Dual #2
MPT Rentals also won dual #2 using their entire roster as they played 15 games in the 4 days. Everyone pitched in as they beat Competitive Edge in the “if” game 40-25 after Comp Edge won game 1 of the championship 24-9. Precision who played well in both tournaments finished 3rd and S&E who finished 5th in the 1st dual finished 4th in the 2nd.

LaFamiglia rebounded in dual #2 going undefeated beating Lady SNI 14-8 in the winner’s final and taking Lady Klutch 20-14 in the championship. Lady SNI wound up 3rd and NTL from California 4th in the 15 team double elimination tournament.
