The annual Memorial weekend Atlanta Major starts this Friday evening at 6:30 PM eastern at the 5 field Al Bishop complex in Marietta, Georgia. The tournament features 23 teams including 11 conference teams led by 3 ‘AA’ teams Chick-fil-a/Slugger/BAF/LBT (VA), Competitive Edge/Olmito/Suncoast (FL), and Sports Reach/Riot (FL). They will be challenged by 5 ‘A’ teams. 4With.com/Premier from Ohio who won this tournament 2 years ago, Primetime/Easton/FAI who is playing on their home turf and have finished in the top 4 a number of times in recent years, Kut4 Sports/OI Livingston who is from nearby Alabama, Dirty Vegas/Steel from Texas, and Conerstone/Midstate who is rumored to have merged with the Rebel/SVC group to essentially form a new team. Their new roster is not yet up to date online.

The weather looks to be really good for softball and there is a nice 9 team Women’s Major at the same park which starts and ends on Saturday featuring 3 of the Major teams Team 24/Proton, Lady SNI/D1Apparel/DeMarini/Slugger, and Lady Klutch/Broughton/Nitro!

All 5 fields at Al Bishop park are 300 feet and they will use the Dudley Pro-M ball with 240 bat compression bucket testing.
