Conference USSSA returns to Virginia for the 1st time since they held the Kyle Wilson Memorial Dual Major back on Labor Day Weekend of 2020 the shortened Covid-19 year. This year the tournament returns to the Valley View park with 16 men’s teams (8 Conference) including #1 ranked SmashIt/ThunderChosen/PureRF/BD/TDB a Major team based out of New York. They will be the heavy favorite and will be pushed by ‘AA’ teams S&E/Dan Smith from North Carolina who made a number of pitching changes since their last tournament at Myrtle Beach and the tournaments sponsor Chick-fil-a/BAF/Slugger/LBT (VA-AA) based right out of Virginia will be in the running playing at their “home” tournament. Chick-fil-a is due for a run and S&E hasn’t had much success since Las Vegas and are overdue themselves. It is going to be WARM and HUMID and the tournament doesn’t start until Saturday morning at 8 AM Eastern time and they are bringing back 3 teams on Sunday morning to finish it. Smash It Sports looks to secure their #1 spot in the points going into the Windy City Classic in two weeks in Chicago! In between the Conference stops at Atlanta next weekend. Eat mor chikin!

All of the fields are 300 feet and they will use the Dudley Pro-M ball. If it is a batch of Pro-M’s like they had in the heat last weekend in Palm Springs the scores should be lower than normal. 240 bat compression bucket testing will also be done.
