BAT TESTING PROCEDURES

Before Dual 1:

  • Each team may submit up to 25 bats for testing.

  • A maximum of 20 bats may pass and be approved for game use.

  • All results are logged in the CUSSSA Bat Log File.

Before Dual 2: *If it is a Dual Event
  • All teams must retest their bats following the same CUSSSA testing guidelines.

  • Results are again recorded in the CUSSSA Bat Log File.

Final 4 Teams (Both Events):

  • Retesting occurs twice:

    • After the Undefeated Game

    • Before the 3rd/4th Place Game

  • All results are recorded in the Bat Log.


FAILED BATS

  • Teams will be notified of any bats that fail.

  • Replacement of failed bats is allowed at any stage of the process.


LATE PLAYER CHECK-IN

  • If players are arriving late:

    • Their names must be noted during the initial team check-in.

    • This is required for proper roster validation.


BROKEN BAT POLICY

  • A bat may be replaced if it shows:

    • A crack

    • Shark tooth damage

    • Any visible signs of breakage

  • If a bat is suspected to be broken internally:

    • It will be retested.

    • If it falls below 240 compression, it may be replaced.

    • If it passes compression, it will be returned to gameplay.
