Conference USSSA went to the great northwest for the Christan Dowling Derby Dual which they played at the Hogan Park in Kent, Washington just outside of Seattle 7/23/2026 to 7/26/2026. They used the Dudley Classic-M China ball on 300 foot dirt/grass fields and there were 17 men’s teams led by the two Major teams Resmondo and Dan Smith. In dual #1 the two superpowers both run ruled their way to the winner’s bracket finals and championship but this time it was Dan Smith winning both, 46-29 and 38-36 over Resmondo bringing the season long series between the two teams to 6 wins to 5 in favor of Resmondo.

The Women’s Conference Dual #1 had 12 teams from 6 different states and Derby Girls/Smash It/Resmondo (WA-Major) went undefeated run ruling all of their opponents on their way to their 4th conference tournament win of the season. LaFamiglia (PA-Major) lost their 2nd game and fought through the loser’s bracket to win 5 in a row and finished 2nd. I have 3 condensed games from the women’s dual coming out soon on YouTube.

The men’s 2nd dual started Friday morning and ended Sunday morning and in this tournament it was unlimited home runs and 80 foot bases. The majority of the winner’s bracket was played on a very large artificial turf baseball fields with dimensions 335-370-395-375-370-335 and they used the Hardcore ball. While a few of the winner’s bracket games and most of the loser’s bracket was played on the 300 foot fields with 80 foot bases and the Dudley Classic-M China ball. Dan Smith run ruled their way to the Saturday night winner’s bracket game. And Resmondo won their first two games by the run rule before outlasting BeHappy (AZ-AA) 47-42 in 8 innings in the semifinals to reach a rematch with Dan Smith. In the winner’s final Resmondo pulled out a 2+ hour long slugfest with Dan Smith 48-45 and then on Sunday morning had a superior offensive performance in a 51-36 championship game win. Resmondo’s record against Dan Smith is now 8-5. The weather in Seattle was perfect for softball and the Conference has 2.5 weeks off until the Evansville, Indiana Dual called the Pocket City Classic which currently has just about every Conference team signed up that will play in the Major World Series.

In the women’s 2nd dual which began Saturday and finished Sunday, Derby Girls beat GemGloves/DirtyVegas/BrandedSO (KY-A) 17-2 to win the winner’s bracket. Meanwhile LaFamiglia (PA-Major) lost their first game to CPK 22-12 and then won 5 straight in the loser’s bracket to make it to the Sunday championship. In the championship, playing their 15th game of the week, they beat Derby Girls 22-5 to force the “if” necessary game where Derby redeemed themselves with a 30-14 win. It was Derby’s 5th tournament win of the season.
