Smash it Sports and Monsta big winner’s at the 2022 Hall of Fame Classic!

MPT and Resmondo met in the loser's bracket of each Dual

Smash It/Thunder/Chosen/PureRF/BD/TDB won the 37 team Hall of Fame Classic Dual #1 this past week at Viera, Florida's Space Coast Stadium Complex. The 1st tournament was played on Thursday, April 7th and finished up on Friday. Smash It went undefeated beating the new major team Monsta/Albicocco/Racks/Nitro Circus in the winner's bracket finals 16-12, then knocking off Classic Glass/Easton 25-17 in the winner's final Friday morning before winning the championship over Resmondo/Smash It/All American/Menosse/RDD/S&S/Rawlings 27-12. Resmondo who lost their 1st game to the new Conference 'B' team Rock Run Cabinetry/All Hustle/Silverbacks/Koval then ran through and won 8 games in the loser's bracket to finish 2nd. Classic Glass finished 3rd after taking advantage of the top of the bracket upsets where not only did Resmondo lose early but MPT Rentals/Juno Athletics lost 15-14 to Nightmare. Finishing 4th was Monsta.

In the 2nd Dual which started Friday night and played through a wind storm on Saturday to finish on Sunday was won by Monsta/Albicocco/Racks/Nitro Circus. Monsta went undefeated beating Resmondo 40-36 in the semifinals, Precision/3rd Street/Red Athlete 31-25 in the winner's final, and Proton/Legacy Gloves 29-12 in the championship. Precision who knocked off major teams MPT Rentals and Smash it Sports finished 3rd. And Resmondo, MPT, and Smash It Sports all tied for 5th after Resmondo and MPT lost to each other in a double forfeit after benches cleared and too many players were ejected to continue.

2022 Women's Hall of Fame Dual

Smash It/Derby Girls/LaClear/Easton won both Women's Dual tournaments losing just 1 game. On the women's side all 4 of the Major teams finished 1-4 in both events. Smash It powered their way to their 2nd and 3rd tournament wins of the year beating all of the top teams and "double dipping" LaFamiglia/Fat Angelo's/Worth in the 2nd dual. Team 24/Proton finished 3rd in each event after winning both duals in 2021 and losing their 1st game in Dual #1 this year. Lady SNI/D1/DeMarini/Slugger finished 2nd in Dual #1 after beating T24 on a walk off homer in the loser's bracket finals with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th. And LaFamiglia the new Major team in Women's slow pitch finished 4th and 2nd.
